I imagine what you're talking about is that the leather that you're actually sitting on actually bubbles up... But the thing is that the leather seats aren't using leather where you sit. Only around the buckets, top of the back-support, and bolsters.

I'll search for pics, hold on a second

EDIT:

here some from the G37's

I have the leather variant. This is the first time I've had leather seats in a sports car. I had STI's before which had the microsuede... Honestly, I feel like these seats hold me in a LOT better than the STI ones did...they aren't all that bad for stock leather seats...If I could get alcantara ones I would though...same with the steering wheel.

Yeah I wish I had cloth kind of now because alot of times my seats nudge me to the side

frost 02-19-2009 10:53 PM

ohhh, that is a pretty good bulge in that leather. never seen that before, but i'd be a little mad about it.

blue660r01 02-19-2009 10:55 PM

^ You talking about the front of the seat where the back of your thigh rests?

frost 02-19-2009 10:55 PM

nogoodname 02-19-2009 10:57 PM

blue660r01 02-19-2009 10:58 PM

Yeah me too. If its what I think you are talking about it REALLY is annoying. Digs into the back of ur leg

nogoodname 02-19-2009 11:02 PM

yea, this is what i was talking bout the whole time

I got the pics to illustrate it better

AH! Yeah, my M35 has something similar. However, the leather in the 370z shouldn't do that. Completely different seats and completely different materials.

FairmanZ 02-20-2009 02:21 AM

I've had leather in some of my other cars of German make, never had a bubble like the one on the G37 shown.

But the Z has psuedo-suede on the seating areas, the leather is only on the side bolster areas and head rest. I don't think the suede would bubble up.

Crash 02-20-2009 03:08 AM

^^^ Exactly.

nogoodname 02-20-2009 08:47 AM

^^ well, that's good.........I guess Nissan learned something with those G seats then....
and most dealers won't do anything to fix it, they said it's normal b/c it's leather.......
I think that's BS because it shouldnt bubble that much in some of the the pics
