Widebody u say??...yes please!

it seems this entire forum has gone stagnant

companies aren't producing anything worthwhile

and due to this economy people aren't really experimenting or indulging in their Z's like they want to

or in my case

the companies aren't making anything good so im not indulging like i want to..:driving:

so now a little inspiration....

HKYStormFront 06-11-2010 11:22 AM

concept is sound but do not want

theDreamer 06-11-2010 11:23 AM

You can photoshop nicely, but do not want at all.

Jesse_Hunter 06-11-2010 11:25 AM

I agree you did a great job on this, but.......

Not for me.

i know I know... it is a little over the top

but you gotta admit the widebody flares are kick ***!

BTW i cant PS to save my life
this is some other talented fella

HKYStormFront 06-11-2010 11:27 AM

loose the bolts and the hard edges imo. the Z34 has nice smooth flowing lines from front to rear, it looks like you slapped on a few straight edges and called it a day...

kenchan 06-11-2010 11:28 AM

that thing looks like schit...:icon14:

Jesse_Hunter 06-11-2010 11:30 AM

Yeah I am a big fan of the wide body idea, but not like that with the bolts and stuff.

The Z wasn't designed to be blocky.

looks like the batmobile has sex with a 370z and this is its love child..

hahah seriously I would like to see a widebody kit.. but this just seems like everything is bolted on here and there.. needs to flow more.

Liquid_G 06-11-2010 11:46 AM

ya that last pic is a billion times better. (the blue one)

bullitt5897 06-11-2010 12:54 PM

From someone who has brought one idea to the next regarding a wide body to this community anything on the wild side will be shot down. The z34 community wants a design that's smooth subtle and slightly wider than stock. I agree with others that the flat/squared off lines need to go as they detract from the lines of the car. The rear diffuser looks freakin Awesome! The rear wing is structurally in the wrong place and will fail under load. Front diffuser is a cool design but the front bumper itself is ugly! If you want look up my threads for some ideas.

Waiz 06-11-2010 01:34 PM

There are some elements that I think would work but overall I'm not really feeling it.

Thanks for sharing.

Remember the 370z is already wide to start with from the factory, allowing very wide tires and aggressive setups for track & street. Not saying a wide body kit would be bad, but might not be ideal.

bullitt5897 06-11-2010 02:55 PM

wiiiidddddeeeeerrrrrr is always better didnt you get that memo? lol

I must have missed it, I will make sure I look into that when I put my cover sheet on my TPS report.

blue660r01 06-11-2010 03:23 PM

If you end up doing that to your car I will throw a molotov cocktail at it!!!!

i love that rendering, it keeps most of the factory lines, just exaggerates them to the extreme. that, to me, is a good kit

Chris@FsP 06-11-2010 03:48 PM

It's.....interesting :)

DRoc7822 06-11-2010 04:20 PM

I like the front...except for the splitter or bottom peice of the front bumper. The side skirts look pretty good... but that HUUUUUGE rear diffuser needs to be cut down to size a lil bit. Its just waaaay to big for me. I do love the hood though and think it looks overall good. I just know if this was in production it be really really expensive so.. it prolly be a no for me too.

bullitt5897 06-11-2010 04:38 PM

One of my attempts with a free hand drawn design:
http://www.the370z.com/exterior-interior/16389-love-hate-wide-body-concept-design.html

I like my rendition of the Jon Sibal car the best

HKYStormFront 06-11-2010 05:41 PM

^^ that would be badass in a "torn" wrap. ie all CF pannels and put a wrap on the car that looks all ripped up (intentionally) with the CF showing underneath. how crazy/sick would that be?

dlmartin81 06-11-2010 08:19 PM

The blue one actually looks like something that APR would make. They do a pretty decent job in maintaining factory look and lines. All of their EVO wide bodies maintain the same OEM front bumper style, just a little wider.....kind of like that blue Z.

I like the first wide body! +rep Soon

Lemers 06-13-2010 08:11 PM

Did you grow up on the Road Warrior movies?

370Z JT 06-14-2010 02:01 AM

man I just want front fender vents similar to the GTR, IS-F. And no, the Hot Wheels fender vents are fugly. The rear is plenty wide already.

holmanyu 06-14-2010 04:15 AM

Z looks sexy but not like this .

DarkPath 06-14-2010 04:32 AM

:roflpuke2: I think I threw up a little... and wanted to roll in it. I have a 40th, and I couldn't do that to my car on a losing bet... I'd welsh, and take the consequences. WTF with the nipple rings, or whatever they are, on the wheels? Take this horror and :gtfo2:

m4a1mustang 06-14-2010 06:34 AM

Haha, yeah, it looks terrible. The way the wing is mounted is just silly.

Two days ago, I saw a vehicle that would haul that tanker. You want to get out of here? You talk to me.
