Default Question on Re-spray

Hey guys, I'm thinking about possible getting my hood and bumper re-sprayed at some point down the line. My question is, how would the painters get around the myriad of stickers and decals that are on inside the bumper and hood? Would they just paint around them? Over them? I can't see there being any scenario where it would look factory after the re-spray. Thanks for the input.

They'd remove them.

Ok, do they usually re-apply them afterwards or do they just toss them?

I guess that's the inherent risk of repainting anything - someone will always be able to tell if it's original or not...

I got a new hood and you can't tell. All stickers are in place and look absolutely factory. The paint work is actually better than stock.....It's really up to the shop and how good they are (or aren't)

If you are getting the same color resprayed, would they need to repaint the underside of the hood?

which can also lead to another problem... it's not the same as the rest of the car.

That's a good question, I'm guessing that just painting the top portion would leave a visible line between the two painted areas?

I know with my re-sprayed hood they painted around the top to the bottom and have zero lines to worry about. A good shop should and will do a proper job on it.
