/\ Looks great man! Thanks for posting the review.

As for double sided tape, what are you using? I really like the double sided tapes that come with GO PRO HD. It's called 3M VHB tape. I used this today to mount my GO PRO HD on my helmet. VERY VERY strong tape (if not, probably world's strongest double sided) YOu can buy this tape online and maybe use it on your rear diffuser?

370Z JT- looking good! Good to hear perfect fitment. :) kinda surpried the quality is only 8.5/10 but I'll take fitment over a few imperfections too. :D

AK- thanks for your tip on this VHB tape. Think I'll get a roll myself. :p

kenchan 06-20-2010 07:55 PM

I bought a roll of the VHB tape...1/2"x36Yards (smallest decent price) Lol. Guess this will last me a couple of installs. :D

370Z JT 06-20-2010 08:19 PM

Yea might have to get that tape as well.

kenchan 06-20-2010 08:30 PM

i would probably do the 3m top side install first and just leave it overnight with boxes to support...maybe 2 nights considering how warm my garage is (adhesives usually need 65F or more, ideally 70F+ and a good 24-48hrs to cure).

then pull the bottom side under the bumper, drill holes and finish off. :)

 Awesome. Keep us posted. Make a thread (if you want to). If these tapes are good enough for holding building panels together, they are def good enough for this rear diffuser!

I gotz my roll of VHB in my garage now. :D

The tape is a lot softer than their standard automotive trim mounting tape.

Just waiting a few wks for the diffuser to come in. :p

370Z JT 06-23-2010 02:43 PM

is product number 5952 the one to go with?

kenchan 06-23-2010 03:04 PM

yah, im not 100% sure but i think they will all work fine for our application since the load isn't that much. i ordered 4611 (not listed above) because i want to use on the fujimura, but also to mount some metal cabinet pieces on my tool case. :p

kenchan 07-01-2010 03:16 PM

woot! my fujimura kintama dancer or watever it's called just cleared customs. :p

NewYorkJon34 07-01-2010 03:49 PM

^Awesome, I'm sure you'll be the one dancing when it shows up at your door :happydance:

while working on my G35C (coolant drain/fill and oil change) USPS guy arrived with my Fujimura CF diffuser. :p

http://www.the370z.com/members/kench...565-before.jpg

While using rubbing alcohol and a towel to remove wax from the rear valance
i heated the backside in the sun.

http://www.the370z.com/members/kench...r-heat-sun.jpg

then VHB'ed... i actually overdid the area where the fins were... lol there's nothing
on the factory bumper in that area. hahaha. :icon17: i put tape about 1.5mm inwards
from the edge of the CF.

http://www.the370z.com/members/kench...7563-2-vhb.jpg

Remove the factory clip from under the rear fog lamp. Fujimura gives you one
big screw and nut for that area.

Then attached to the bumper like so. btw, it's a perfect fit.

http://www.the370z.com/members/kench...17566-done.jpg

grabbed my hex wrench and drill. need a 8mm wrench too for the nut.
i just rolled on my back and worked on it. didn't even raise the car.

http://www.the370z.com/members/kench...les-screws.jpg

couple more shots. :p

http://www.the370z.com/members/kench...7567-done2.jpg

http://www.the370z.com/members/kench...7568-done3.jpg

going to let the 3M tape cure over night before taking the car out.
3M says VHB cures fully in 72hrs. thing sticks like gum.
