Roof Vinyl: Matte/Flat Black OR Gloss Black?
I am trying to put a roof vinyl for my Z and initially I was thinking using Gloss Black because it really looks sick in many other cars such as the Benz E class, the Scion TC, etc etc. But just two minutes ago I spotted the sponsor car of VIP status, or status works w/e, their red anime logo car; I noticed they instead used the matte black for roofing, and it looks good too. So i want to hear opinions from our Z members: which one will you go with and why?
Thanks a lot. Current status of the car: |

Yeah, I would prefer gloss too. Just out of curiosity, have you considered a black carbon fiber-look vinyl?

Your taillights look gloss black, so you might want to take that into consideration. It would flow better being all shiny, if you have something else or plan something else in a matte then it might look good.

I kind of wonder what it would look like if you did the entire roof, and all of the hatch/spoiler with gloss black. That might look cool (or I might be crazy). You would have to do the sides of the roof as well though. Maybe even the A pillars? Oh hell, I better stop now, before you know it I'm going to just say do the entire car.

The thing is, one could get an entire car vinyl wrapped if one wanted to.

Yea gloss is really cool with the rear glass and matte doesn't get scratched easily... damn its a hard choice!
I am thinking of, if I go with matte, then I will wrap it all the way till the spoiler (that is, wrap the hatch back as well). And if I go with gloss, then just the roof. What ya think? |

Gloss or carbon fiber looks good i was gonna wrap it in carbon today but decided not to because the design looks cheap so just clearbra for now.
