If Nissan says its for a set of funky looking pliers, I guess it must be. But to me it looks suspiciously like the shape of the seat belt extender. Anyone shoehorning themself into a z wish to help answer??

at the top of the foam impression you see how its widened on each side of the plier tip area thats so you can reach into the indention with your fingures to retrieve the tool

As said before, the left one is for a screwdriver, and I know for a fact that the NISMO versions have them, but not the other versions...
I spoke with the parts guys at the dealership, and they believe that it's a not a place for a set of pliers, but for a seat belt extender... why would they need a place to put a seat belt extender though? |

Screwdriver for NISMO
I have a 2011 NISMO that came with the screwdriver.
In the 2011 owner's manual is says access to the threaded slot for the tow hook for non-NISMOs is through a panel on the front bumper. It says NISMO users need the screwdriver to remove the front license plate so the tow cable will not bend your license plate as you make turns. Hense - non-NISMOs don't need the screwdriver. There is no mention to what the pliers were to be used for. Last edited by Bruche; 05-10-2011 at 11:26 PM. Reason: makes more sense |
