We will be hard pressed to find something that works with the NISMO without some sort of modification. I am kicking around the idea of modifying my NISMO bumper with some of the Stillen cues or just changing to the Stillen bumper. I need more of an open area in the front. Not focussing on the DRLs, but I would like to run a set if possible!

I too got the OEM drls and have a question: I noticed that on each side, some of the LEDs look brighter than the others that results in uneven look. I think the brightness should not differ from one led to another. Is this the case for your drls or is there something wrong with mine?

Not sure... mine came with my used car.
Amazingly, 5 bulbs are out, so i disconnected them and will be taking them out soon. |
Dim Leds
Hey guy, just a quick note, I have gone to the Nissan Dealership 3 times for the dimming light or no lights but a few thing and each time they order me new ones. Then after a while they do the same thing again. But this time they kept my car over night and wow when I got them back they are so bright and look just like the ones you see on the Mercedes and Porche models. The tech explained that when they are getting these lights shipped they are not connected tightly together so in time as the car shakes and rattles they become more loose and then grow dim. He said mine was loosing alot of watts. They crimpt all the wires and lights one by one and man what a difference. So I would suggest to the Nissan dealership to try that or call Jackie Cooper Nissan in Tulsa Oklahoma, Tech Bob somoe YEARS of experience with Nissans and can tell them how to fix them.

To each their own, I guess! $690 for two LED strips is NOT worth it for me!

Darkside has a sweet pair or LEDs and sent me the link to the site....Appreciate your assistance man...a true Z Addict! Keep me posted on any other discoveries.

The OEM daytime running lights have been re-called. The two inside LEDs slowly dim over a few months. No word from my Nissan dealership about replacement either.

Philips DRL-4 Kit
2 Attachment(s)
For under $90 I got the Philips DRL-4 Kit you see here. I wrote a DIY for the installation, which was surprisingly easy. I think they look great and make the car safer. (Putting them on the fangs was my idea. I like it because they match the lines of the headlight assemblies and look very integrated.)

I bought an 8" set.Going to do a full write up on the install during that weekend. I'm planning to wire them to a Toggle switch inside the car so I can run them at night or during the day. Pictures and write up to follow. |

You might check out Carbon Signal on this site. They have some outstanding CF parts. You can order either a whole package or specific parts. I did the parts route. They have pictures on their site and I do as well in my photo shots. It does take awhile to get them but they are " on the one"! Going to get my baby today. Pictures to be posted soon! Peace:ughdance: |
