EDIT: I'm assuming then that our cars are streamlined enough in the transfer from roof to rear window where the flow doesn't separate too much. Could it be better to speed up the surface layer with some vortex generators? every bit helps I guess. Like I said, much to learn. Its funny, but I read something that completely contradicted that whole article a while back. Can't trust any sources these days I guess. So whats your opinion on this wing? Will it do more harm because of the separation/drag that it will cause or is the downforce (if any) created by it worth the drag? Or is there no way of knowing without testing.. Yeah, according to Chris Harris (EVO), independent testing is yielding lower results than than those. If I remember correctly, the 997 GT3 RS, with its big wing and front splitter, only makes about 180KG at the same speed. I'm guessing Ferrari may have exaggerated a little...

Yea, this was really confusing for us as well. We actually took your wing after we received it back and put it on our red car. We confirmed the fit and decided to go ahead and send you the first production part that was on our red car. So we took it off our car, cleaned it up and put on new tape and sent it to you. Then we took your original wing and sent it to our body shop along with the fascia, rockers, and deck wing and had them all painted at once. Your original wing is now on our car and fits perfectly. I'm not really sure what was different.

The primary purpose of the rear wing is appearance. We did some testing with our 350Z a few years ago and we could not find any downside in terms of aerodynamic issues caused by the roof wing at high speed. This wing won't affect handling much if at all until you start seeing speeds very high speeds. Keep in mind that there are three or four different rear wing options on the 370Z from the factory...One option bein no wing at all.

Whoever put the tape on that one you send me messed that up, & we had to apply new tape. I really rather not go into any detail about the roof spoiler that I sent back, because we both know how it "looked". But I'm glad to have a "new" one & I think it looks awesome. It's a nice subtle piece that complements the car really well. If you guys like I can take more pictures, just let me know
