Dry carbon fiber
I just got my 370z a week ago and there is already a chip in the hood, so i decided that instead of repainting it, i might as well get a carbon fiber one. I'm planning on making the 370 as light as possible and I would like to know of any available hoods. I know brands like seibon and vis are just fiberglass parts covered in carbon fiber, so they are not an option for me.

Well, let me be the first to state that the hood is aluminum. So, you won't be saving any weight. None that will matter anyways.

how about a wrap or something?

go for varis if you REALLY want it. to me, it's not worth it anymore, we have aluminum hoods that are pretty damn light already. |
i see...how about do the wrap and then go take a dump? im sure that'll take off a lb or so which will be easily detected by the buttdyno. :icon14: FWTW, you need to take off 100lbs per 0.5sec acceleration improvement.

The only other carbon fiber I have seen from a vendor is Varis, but not sure if they are shipping yet or not. |

Their TS hood looks sweet tho! I'd love to have $800 laying around for that one! The GTR style looks sweet also

Hm, what I think about the weight is.....
Instead of getting cf, just lose some weight on the driver yea:icon17::icon17: |

I'm 210lb. My goal is loosing 20 pound. It may cost cheaper than buy light weighted wheels and body parts......
I planned this about 5 years ago.... and I am 210 pounds....... |
