lol hi ray!!!

i suggested gloss black for the roof because it gives it a tinted glass roof effect

Damn, worth a shot, haha.

Also agree on the aftermarket rims, gold GT-30's. Would look awesome.

Is this a joke? You've got one of the best looking red Z's. Why change the color.... and for god's sake, why gold? Meh, I guess to each his own.

kenchan 05-04-2010 12:41 PM

yah, i think you should just keep it red and get some 20" black wheels to finish. not that your current wheels are lacking. :D

gold? really? are you like some geisha warrier? (not sure wat that means either).

If it was my money, I'd forgo the paint job and get a supercharger to be honest.

But, I still think the Top Secret gold color would look pretty good.

 better?

not really, I need a high resolution image to mess with. Every time I go to change the hue/saturation of these posted images it ends up fudging things up due to the low res.

kenchan 05-04-2010 01:12 PM

or just get a wet kit or something. you dont need all that power on street, but at the track maybe... something to give you that nice 150 shot boost be fore you hit a tree? ;)

Caravanshaka 05-04-2010 01:18 PM

Keep it red, but do it in the Lexus red

i'm fluent in japanese and even i don't know where you're going with that :icon14: lol

simz, br0 i gotta say...if ur gonna go nuts with a color, do it in the gt-r midnight purple

JB-370z 05-04-2010 01:42 PM

All gold would be too much gold.
-Black headlights with gold acc. or just al black
-Gold body
-Gold wheels with polished lip
-Carbon fiber acc.

I think you would have the first 370 with gold paint. I could be wrong though.

I agree with phelan if I had to chose a color that gtr midnight purple is killer. Here is the thing about gold... Depending on the tint of gold it can come off as ghetto pimp or classic. I would stick as close to the top secret gold and accent with darker gold like they do. Also with any black do it in satin!!! That way it hides the lines and makes the car look more menacing! You can ask any of the Atlanta guys it gives the car a more aggressive look! Color match the handles and another idea to throw around is matte gold with small chip size gold metallic flake in the paint. That way when the sun hits it it glistens like the guy from twilight and you will be beating the hoes off left and right but under normal and low light conditions it will look matte gold. Just some food for thought. Also if you go matte gold the black has to be matte black as well the semi gloss would stick out too much!

Then again you could always pink ;)

Midnight Purple Pearl FTMFW! I painted my 240SX two tone midnight purple pearl and black, it was freaking sexy. Put it into a tree 4 days after painting it. Nothing ever good happens when you paint a car :P The bad thing about midnight purple pearl is that there are 3 versions of it, one for each GTR generation and each one is NOT cheap. Midnight Purple Pearl III on the R34 GTR runs anywhere from $1,500 to $3,000 a quart, and it has to be imported from austrailia. Now you could do it the way I did and know someone that can mix colors and was able to match it quite perfectly.
