I shall do so.
I will also look for a way to minimise cutting of the rubber. Wouldn't it be possible to cut the rubber open and then put the bearing in. like the bearing being INSIDE the rubber instead of just removing it. I shall revolutionise this product Last edited by Vegitto-kun; 04-29-2010 at 07:43 PM. |

yah, i looked at the rubber/plastic cover (you can just peel it back from the side to see the screw for the ball joint). it'll take some trial and error to cut it but i think i can definitely cut the plastic without trimming the rubber seal at all.
the area removed in ryan's pict is pretty significant... like 12" or more. i also realized that the washer hose does not stretch before the hood's hinge hits the a-pillar cover. as long as there is no contact on the a-pillar cover when fully opened, i think im sold. |

so, any kind of guarantee against hood bending? Since our hoods are aluminum, the force should be lower on these than typical steel hood struts to ensure that the power of the struts don't damage the hood.

Ryan, are you going to do any non carbon fiber versions?
I am sure weight savings is minimal with the carbon fiber and I would just like a nice black.
