Carbon fiber B pillars anyone??
hey guys, Does anyone have any feedback with regards to the carbon fiber B pillars that have now become available to us... anyone also have any pictures they can post with them on.. i am begining to entertain the idea for the only reason that my factory ones have a bunch of swirls and fine lines all over them.. I think instead of just fixing the swirls with a buff or polish that it might be easier just to replace them. Or no?
Any feedback would be great. THanks, |
... another question i forget to mention. Is it possible to buy the oem ones and just replace them if they are badly swirled etc? |
you will end up swirling your CF b-pillar cover if you cant maintain your factory b-pillar cover.
just letting you know beforehand. |
The factory b-pillar covers have very soft paint on them, so they marr very easily. CF is much harder and way more resistant to marring. I'm wanting to replace mine with CF as well but don't know which one to go with either. It's easy to polish out the swirls in the paint on the pillars, but they will marr up right away again because of the soft paint :shakes head:.

the the b-pillars do haze easily, but they are also easy to polish if you have the right tools and technique. and prevention is first step in detailing so just sayin'. CF alone will not fix hazing habits and poor cleaning technique. |
