That body line comes grooved and flanged and predrilled so that people can choose to blend it or leave it standard and just paint it with that body line there. If people do decide to fill it there is no concern of cracking later as the hardware and flange on the back is the support and the filler (supplied) is just there to blend that line out.

We have been working on some very detailed instructions on how to blend that line for the DIYer...it is very easy!

In STILLEN's shoes I would've made the same decision. Makes it more cost effective for sure, and easier to transport. I had all sorts of hell trying to get the Amuse kit home, and I had one of the biggest SUVs with me. I think as long as you have a good, reputable body shop, you'll be fine.
