[HELP]Anyone got HID kit for the Z?
I just tinted my headlight and the visualbility is really bad. Would aftermarket HID help? I know stock comes with 4300 and I'm thinking of 6000. Would this not help? And do I need to install the ballasters too?

Replacing the stock bulbs to 6000k won't help your visibility at all. It'll only make it worse.
|
Apparently "higher wattage" HID won't help either...
Want to know if a 50/55 watts HID kit will melt my projector headlights? - Yahoo! Answers |
next time don't tint the outside lens, blackout the inside and leave the projector alone as to not disturb your light output.

:iagree:
Weird how tint limits light throughput.. |
thanks guys...so even ballasters won't help?
|
I really wanted to paint the inside but....guess what? even looking at DIY and all that....I was afraid of breaking it...lol
|
ya, you aren't going to get much more light output than you get stock with any setup. how was the tint done? If it was an overlay you can remove it and black out your inner housings instead. If it was paint, then you may be SoL

my friend works at tint shop and he got a special film for the lens...I did not expect it to be so dark...I have to sacrifice something for what I like...lol I have no skills to do all DIY stuff....not expert like you guys....:(

I'd never pulled open a headlight before I did mine. I know it's a little intimidating, but you might surprise yourself!

I would try 55w.
You could ask the people on hidplanet they might be able to help you out. |
