Well, I installed the Seibon TS carbon fiber hood on the 370 last monday, the install itself went pretty good, but..... the CF hood was a quater inch smaller in width then the stock hood. Looked like garbage. I ended up putting the old hood back on and now I'm in the process of sending the Seibon hood back. I haven't decided if I want them to send out a new hood or return the hood for a refund. I really don''t even feel like doing buisness with Seibon now knowing they put products out like this... very disapointed.

I saw a seibon hood locally and it looked pretty good but i didn't look too closely at the gaps. When you buy seibon, sometimes you get a pretty good product and sometimes you get garbage. I would ask for a refund. If you want a hood that fits like oem you're going to have to spend more and get something from japan.

Hmmmm, my SEIBON hood fits pretty good? I noticed there are gaps on the sides but the gaps are very near what the OEM hood had? Good luck

yea, the gaps on mine were very noticable, I also have the TS style hood. I was over my buddys house with a few other people when we installed the hood, and everyone there agreed it looked terrible, you could actually see down under the hood. I would have taken before and after pictures but I had no camera.

though a 350z I had the same exact problem with my Seibon TS hood. The only solution that was come up with was to add body filler down the sides of the hood. Of course this only works if you decide to get the hood painted. If you dont have the vented hood there would really be no point in buying the hood if you were to get it painted.
I suppose you could find a good body shop to add body filler to the front fenders and repaint them...depends on how bad you want the hood on the car heh. |
