I know I wouldn't feel comfortable buying a car knowing the odometer was wrong, regardless of the amount it was off (and I know I'm the only one who knows... I guess its integrity getting the best of me, I just don't want to deal with that, even IF it were to become and issue for some odd reason).

SoCal,
Why post what the law says, and then turn around and tell me not to worry about the difference in mileage?
You wouldnt know its wrong cuz there is no proof its wrong. You would be surprised to know all the things that were done illegally to cars you may have bought but never knew about, especially used ones. But if you have integrity, all the time i assuming as you make it sound so, then fix it.

And now he has ruined mine, can I then turn around a sue him? And come to think oh it Tiger has ruined my life too, Im sueing him too. I have nightmares from all the media coverage over his affairs. And Jesse James too, the bastards.

Because you were asking.

If you want to see someone "really" breaking the law, just take a walk along Wall Street! You obviously have paperwork stating they replaced the odometer, simply show that to a prospective owner; it will also be in Nissan's database regarding your Z.

Well... thank you for the input. Sorry if I've been making a big deal over nothing. I'm just a little anal over the new toy.

ok hmm well sounds like there was just a programming error at the factory, or just a wrong number written down on the order sheet. as long as the miles are racking up correctly now, just look at it as a 300 mile warranty extension

It's actually 364 in the difference. That is way over 300. Don't drive the car for 64 miles and you'll be OK.

Just to put it into perspective. Look at every lifted truck you see in california. Those vehicle's come from the factory with speedometers which are calibrated to their O.E. tire sizes, O.E. differential gearing, and O.E. transmission gearing. You can pretty much guarantee that 95% of the lifted trucks rolling around in California have not been re-geared or re-calibrated to compensate for their larger tires...Those trucks are actually doing more milage than the odometer is reading. No one cares about it though.

I think you're fine.

I know we are kinda giving you a hard time, part in fun, part in seriousness, as you asked for our opinions and now you are arguing our advice when you wanted it. Take what we say, make you decision and do what you want but dont be mad cuz we tell you something you dont like. Peace out.
