major issue with V-leds parking light LEDS
So I ordered two parking light LEDS that was recommended by a few forum members. I went ahead and installed them, was very easy and had great results. However, 2 weeks later the driver side bulb had melted off inside, leaving part of the bulb trapped inside the headlight. It took me about 4 hours to remove the piece. Slightly after seeing the melted bulb, the headlamp for the driver side now goes out intermediately, only turns back on for a few minutes by hitting the side of the light.
I have now taken my car into the dealership 5 times as they order new parts each time they cannot figure out what is going on. I cannot stress how f'd up this situation is. DO NOT order from v-leds as they're parking LED has malfunctioned and melted off and probably ruined my light. Also, they did not refund me telling me its been over 30 days. Nissan told me that they're going to fix it anyways despite the modification parking light... hopefully. I know I've installed the correct light because I matched the power compared to the stock bulb. From now on I think I'll be using the stock orange parking lights. Just a heads up to anyone thats about to use this company.

Hey man! don't worry about it, we could fix that for you. We have a new MR Works parking light conversion.
Pretty much we use Nissans stock chip board and replace your parking with leds (white/blue/red), nissans stock board works great because they have 3 back up resistors incase one blows. |

Right, but aren't those led soldered on to a circuit board? is this what the OP was talking about? I just looked and it doesn't look like v-leds sells loose led's that you solder on yourself. I'm guessing he's talking about the 194 bulbs next to that. Which is why I'm curious what he ran because those shouldn't get that hot.

^^^Yeah he talking about the bulb that goes through the whole right next to it. We custom retrofit it so we use our leds on the board as the parking light. Also, we make it so if the person still wants to put a socket LED in the parking lamp, he/she is still capable.

Intermediate blinking on an LED, causes:
1) lack of current to drive the LED (bad connection) 2) reached the junction temp limit on the Diode, and the LED does not really turn off, its just looses power and you can barley see it. As far as melting... I really doubt its LED related.... sound more like a short happened... An LED will die, before its temp hit enough to melt plastic... and The few LED's which can produce plastic melting temps without dying (Cree MC-E, Luminus PhlatLight, and the 6 dye Oshram) These type of LEDs are used on headlights because of their high intensity... not for mid or low intensity applications.
