Wth is that white unit underneath our headunit? It plugs into a gigantic harness with many many wires but doesn't connect to anything else.......any idea guys? |
I cheated and looked it up. The SM calls it the A/C Auto Amp, whatever that is.

Lol thanks, im assuming that it's some kinda auto climate control module? dang....why does that thing need such a fatty harness with so many wires going into it??
|
im guessing for all of the control functions of the auto features on the climate control... i noticed it wont blow much air when the car is cold and will then go to defrost once it has started to warm up, so there is more than a simple thermostat setup going on
|
yah you'll want that in your car if you plan on using the a/c i thinks...

Hvac
I installed my Kenwood 6140 last weekend and try to test it before putting everything back together. I had that unit disconnected and my "Check Engine Soon" light came up and didn't go away even when I connected it back, so I hooked up my OBD-II log reader and sure as h..l it says "Lost communication with HVAC" I reset it and it works as charm.:tiphat:
