Default Intelligent Key Question

Hey guys, just wondering if you guys ever ran into the problem of the inteligent key sensor not picking up your fob when you try to open and start the car? As in, standing next to the car or having the key in my hand and pressing the button on the door of sitting in the car with the key and the display says no key? I dropped by the dealer to get the hatch tsb done and mentioned it to them so they're gonna take a look at it when the springs come in.

Battery in the fob could be low. Try replacing it and see if it works better.

If I remember correctly the range is ~21" or so. If I stand with my left side (key pocket) away from the car I will be out of range sometimes, but I've never had the message while inside the car.

My ex-GF's G35 would have issues sometime when her fob was in her purse. Maybe take the fob out of your purse?

Not sure how long youve had the car, but have you tried changing the battery? I know its a simple answer, but hey you never know.

Vipor beat me to it!

battery is still good, the car is about 8-9 months old. i can have the key right next to the handle and it still wouldn't reed, but the door unlocks if i use the fob to unlock it. when i get the error inside the car, it'll work after i lock and unlock using the fob or if i stick it into the fobgina. this started several months ago, but is starting to get pretty bad so initially i thought it was a fluke.

I have not really had that much issues with the FOB thingy....but I do notice that if I am in an area that has a high levels of radio traffic....it does impede the range and seems to mess up the wireless transmission at times.

Especially at Helemano and PCC. Those 2 areas seem to confuse the FOB at times. Must be at the moments that the military are trying to scramble everyones mind.
