Mainly because I have just beyond the selection available in local auto parts. I use a glaze after polishing and before waxing. Then I use a polymer-based liquid sealant as my wax base coat for longevity (since it is a DD). I finish it off with a buttery wax designed for show room shine when I really want it. And in my experience, the products at AutoZone just can't keep up.
I can't sit here and say it's a bad product. Chances are it's fine.
