wing project by STILLEN
|
you know what funny
the stillen spoiler and this one http://bespoke-public-product-images...9_1000x750.jpg are heavily modeled after Z32 spoilers haha. |
I wonder who makes that adjustable wing they use during time attack that adjusts while they are driving the car? I am curious how it is programmed, Accelerometer? Car ECU? Does anyone know? it is on the forged performance GTR
|
I think AeroMotions, the one that travisjb uses, has an option for their dynamic wing.
|
Yep, Thanks

If there are enough people that want that wing: http://www.the370z.com/nissan-370z-g...tml#post466203

My apr wing is on it's way to me!!!!!
|
I really like this wing for the function and weight purposes but I like INGS+1 wing and the new Varis wing look nice. Not sure, I want to see pics of these on cars from lots of angles and people opinions of the wing

http://www.the370z.com/members/mike-...g-new-wing.jpg May not have pictures for a couple weeks though, still waiting for the stillen bumper to ship, and I'm guessing the body shop will want to wait until after painting everything to permanently mount it. Hopefully I can get some mock up pics from them. |
I wonder if I will have to remove the stock rear spoiler with the aeromotion wing?
|
ings+1 is by far the best looking wing, plus since it is made by ings you know it is purpose built.

They said they are good for up to 200+ mph more than the Z could ever reach. I would assume they are wind tunnel tested. I could find any posted date though but I didn't spend that much time at the website.

what does 200+ more mean?
I will stick with real numbers, but mine did come in with a dent and a chip in it :(/ I think the body shop can fix it, but I will wait for the manufacturer to decide how to proceed. (it came in today) |
It says 200+ mph
sorry for your bad luck, I am sure they will replace it. Damn, I wanted to see that thing installed Quote:

have you got your apr wing on yet? i am looking at one for my roadster but not sure if it would fit the curves of the roadster trunk
|

Its a universal mount, although they did test fit on a regular 370 for me before making it, but it should work for you. |
Anyone see the video of APR's wing fold on rhys millen's genesis? He claimed he was at about 165mph at cal speedway lol. wing fold!!!
|
i have done the measurments an it seems that it would work just wanted to see how it looks on a z first
|
Damn that must been a real issue when it happened, I wonder how the car reacted when that happend?

looks great Alex, I was considering that one too at one point.

Can someone tell me how easy or difficult it is to remove the factory spoiler on our car? How is it attached--with adhesive or bolts, and so forth.
I did a search in this section and got several threads, but I didn't see specific info on this question. Thanks. |

Not sure on the adhesive, but there are 6 bolts that hold it down, soafer removal, there are 6 holes to patch and fill. http://www.the370z.com/members/mike-...g-new-wing.jpg Unless you are getting a lot of other work done, I would recommend against it. |

the angle is off, because it was just bolted on, but pics are in my journal. Its a bit over the top for an everyday driver that doesn't see the track at all, probably.
