Zs with splash guards
 
I gave "Monica" her first wash yesterday after 2 weeks and 380 miles and I was stunned when I looked at the splash guards (the part facing the front of the car<tire>. It is a trap for dirt, sand, salt, and anything else on the road. When you get a chance take a moment and examine that area. You will notice there is a groove on the toward the underbody that's not easy to access and clean.
Any idea how to deal with this?

I simply turned the hose on flat stream and hit it for about 60 seconds. All the dirt poured out in the rinse. It is a trap for sure.

Yes, remove them completely. IMHO, they look ugly anyways. (And no, I'm not trying to be sarcastic.)

I am personally not a fan of the look without them.
