How would you grade the fitment of the sunline kit on a scale 1-10 with ten being the best??

simota1 04-27-2010 08:49 PM

a 7...... its great except for the 1/8 gap right in the middle of of the caps that go on the rear bumper...

I might have to go for the real thing then. 2k for the full kit in FRP is a little steep but, when it comes to cosmetics everythings got to fit right. Paying for the car to look bad does not make sense, ya dig. I can't tell there is a gap. So where is the center cap you speak of? Do you mean the gap between the Evo-R cap and the Sunline Spats???
I can't tell if the real thing has the gaps or not........Kinda looks like there is no gap between the outline and the spat.

the area between where the bumper curves out like looking at the tailights... draw a straight line down.. thats the area with a gap... i dont know if the real sunline kit has no gap either.... u wont notice the gap until you look at it from a top view...

If you look at 00:30 on this vid you will see the clamps that Venaci is using to mold the spat to the bumper, which I am sure he is using some sort of high strength double sided tape. Might want to give this a try.

I did a test fit on my sunline replica rear spats and there were no gaps. It hugged the bumper perfectly.
