Yeah I tried to use another screw but it seems this needs a special screw for it to fit right. It needs a short screw with the end of it not threaded. Of course I can jerry rig one and force it on easily, but I rather not and do it right. Just me... lol

UPDATE: Turns out I got lucky on mine as the LED is amber too. It seems to work great! I would definately recommend trying to get a used one. I know there is a risk of it not working, but whats the chance of it not working? You can always pay with credit card/paypal and dispute. I got mine on eBay. I think mine came from a 2006 Maxima.

yah, since you're getting the official screw from the manufacturer definitely wait for that. the screw post was just in case if you wanted to approach it DIY style.

the mirror? i got one from amazon and installed mine. check the DIY section as there's a nice picture which wire to tap into.

Do you have a link to the DIY? This is the only one I found, and there aren't any pictures for the installation:

Guys, just search for a homeline from a Nissan Maxima. It will come with the compass and most likely be in amber! I paid like $60 shipped for mine!
