how much weight savings? can you get it with hood vents to help in the hot summer days?

The SEIBON hood without vents seems comparable to the OEM hood. I do not have weight numbers though. The weight savings from a few vents I think would be pretty minimal.

if anything, the weight loss from the vent is negated by the extra geometry / material AROUND the vents.

and realize that our hoods are aluminum already, weight savings would only be a few pounds at best.

How is the fit?

The weight should not be that much difference... the Z hood is already light.
