Default pedals

well, my 370 does not have the touring package, so i have these gay looking plastic pedals which annoy me. Anyways, I want metal pedals, and have looked around but all I find are those slip over covers, you can buy a pepboys, and well hell no.

So question, has anyone taken appart the pedal assembly yet? If I can get the pedals out, I can run dimensions on it, have a CAD model, and send it over to the CNC, and get the pedals fully machined. Similar to this:

mounted top side obviously, Just need to get the damn pedal out to take measurements, maybe even do the accelerator pedal in aluminum.

so if anyone has any info it would be appreciated.

edit: yeah I just took a good look, they are metal, with a rubber pad, but have a funky tiwst to get them to their position. Maybe just taking of the rubber, and instead placing a aluminum pad, would be a nice solution. Should be very easy to do for the accelerator, and just use, selftapping screws.

LOL! I saw that pic and said to myself "That looks like a Spykar!!!" At least I'm not the only car obsessed guy that would spot that right away.

I love the Spykar's shifter too! That's pretty bad a$$.

^^^ We all knew that. We were testing you.

By the way, I'd never buy a Spyker because the Spyker guys over at the autoshow here in Los Angeles were being douche-bags. Terrible salesmanship on their part.

I'm assuming you could probably just buy the touring pedals from the dealer or online and install them. Depending on price, i may do the same as i have ordered a base model.

Gang,

I am sure that Courtesy Nissan and their parts (CourtesyParts.com) division will have them on line very shortly.

I did this with my 350z base model and I am going to do the same with my 370z. I saw yesterday that courtesy has alot more parts on there 370z site. Most are not in stock but at least they are working on it. Just waiting for them to get the pedals up for sale. Hope it isnt much longer.

the pedals on the touring although aluminum and all are not the best looking things either. but at least they look like pedals that need to be on a 35k+ car. I will be taking out the pedals and taking dimensions for design this weekend. i will keep you folks posted.

also had an idea about an intake, any one know the much air that engine sucks?

^^^^ thanks man, great site, and not too expensive. I sent them an e-mail, hopefully they have them coming soon, or need a donor car to test fit, at which stage ill just drive up the 24 miles to get there.

I used ultimate pedals in my M-Coupe, they work great for manual heel/toe with the extension and look better than the plastic/rubber OE:
