Default Oil Pressure Gauge

I am going to install an oil pressure gauge and can someone tell me the best place to bring wires from the engine into the cockpit? Also, how much oil will I lose taking off the oil pressure switch located near the oil filter? Thanks.

Do you know how to install the sensor? Can one just remove the oil pressure switch? I'm curious how to do this, as I won't install an oil cooler until I have a pressure gauge.

You can remove the oil pressure switch and add a sender. It is located by the oil filter (the larger silver switch not the smaller gold which is for temp). I ordered this adapter and will keep the oem switch and attach the new sender - probably good to have double protection. This adapter will fit right on the 370Z (1/8 PT) however most aftermarket senders are 1/8 NPT and you need an adapter for that thread.

Anyone measured the voltage output of the stock sender? Just wondering if it gives a voltage range as a opposed to an on/off value.

It's a 16 dollar part, so it's most definitely a simple switch.

Best to install it with an oil change, so you don't have to worry about oil.
As for the wires, there are some entries, I believe on the passenger side through the firewall. Check the audio install section.
