Sorry, I can't believe I forgot to mention that the entire design of this hood will be to reduce under hood temperatures. There will be vents in the hood.
I'm not sure how we'd design it just yet. There are two concepts right now that we're kicking around. One would have two vents in the rear corners which would work to get heat out of the very rear most area of the car. The other option that we would be looking at would have one large vent in the front which helps pull hot air off of the radiator and also increases downforce on the front end. My only concern with this option is the limited space in the front of the engine bay...I'm not sure that we could have a large enough opening for this design to be optimal. |
