Can you explain the Stage 1 and Stage 2 mirror kits better? It looks like the Stage 1 is literally just a cover for everything. The Stage 2 looks like

Can you explain the Stage 1 and Stage 2 mirror kits better?
It looks like the Stage 1 is literally just a cover for everything. The Stage 2 looks like it replaces the part of the existing mirror that's paint matched. Thanks for the help.
