Lesson Learned: Dealer Cleaning
Dear Members,
I would like to share something I learned with regards to cleaning services at the dealership. I bought my car in Maryland, and drove it back myself to NJ. When I arrived, the dealer had the car cleaned before I took possession of it. At the time, it was dark and I could not see much of the car outside. It turns out the moron who cleaned the car after I drove it back from Maryland, just took a town and wiped off all the dust/mud off the car. Now the car has tiny scratches everywhere from this individuals stupidity. I am going to call my dealer now and raise hell. But BEWARE, if you drive the car, don't let anyone clean it but you.

Yes, this was my first car ever. Now I have the car at a detailing place to fix the paint.
But trust me, this dealership is going to learn a lesson from me as well.

You bought a near black car man, you're swirls are going to be evident no matter how good you take care of it, its the nature of the beast. Nissans paint is some of the worst in the biz.

yeah, its hard to keep a black car in showroom condition, especially if you're driving it around.
so you said you took a towel to wipe off the dirt and mud....you didn't do that dry did you. if that dirt and mud was any larger than say...dust? you may have causes the microscratches yourself. i would have given it a proper cleaning/wash if it was as dirty as i imagine. im not trying to blame you for anything here, just trying to make you cognizant of the fact that black cars are SO easy to put swirls and mini scratches on...and they definitely show up. just keep the car clean and use plenty of wax also, just accept that small dings and scratches will happen; if its a daily driver, its bound to happen. it just builds character and shows you aren't a ninny with your car. |

I never cleaned the car actually. The dealer did. This is why I am so pissed off, because it was not due to my own mistake.

So you're a ninny if you look after your car and try to protect it it from scratches etc? I believe this is called taking pride in your ride. |
