Finally Shaved the Badges

A soon to be ex-family member backed his truck into my Z. Ouch! While she was at the body shop, I had the infamous Nissan hamburgers removed and the windows tinted. Since they were already mixing paint, they only charged me 4 hours ($180) to fill them in! The difference was very dramatic.

I love it!!!

frost 02-28-2010 06:21 PM

$180, not bad at all. Looks like getting backed into worked out just fine :D

SoCal 370Z 02-28-2010 06:22 PM

I don't know whether to rep you for the soon to be ex-family member or shaving your burgers. Either way = rep point.

huff442 02-28-2010 06:30 PM

The soon to be EX-family member is a P.O.S. I thought i was going to have to take him to court to get paid for the damage to the car. It wasn't major damage; scuffed the paint on the bumper cover and hood; about $850. He was refusing to give me his insurance info and wanted to "negotiate" the damage charges with the body shop. Oh well, I got paid...

Wow that looks great!

MightyBobo 02-28-2010 11:34 PM

The 370 logo looks awkward by itself on the back now...

wade1207 02-28-2010 11:34 PM

To me it looks like taking the 370z badge off would look good too. What do you guys think?

NewlyIMPORTed 02-28-2010 11:37 PM

>135I 03-01-2010 05:18 AM

That looks awesome and I think I like the 370z badge by itself. Very nice.

The Fox in the passenger seat is my beautiful wife of 17 years. If you ask her, she'll tell you she bought me the Z for my birthday, but somehow I still ended up writing the check...How do women do that??????

fullmonty 03-01-2010 07:25 AM

Looks great man!

I agree, also change out the license plate frame to a plain black one would finish the total debadging.

speedoflife 03-01-2010 08:17 AM

I like it a lot. I'd vote to take the 370Z badge off as well (despite heritage, etc.). Or maybe someone can photoshop the label off... It kinda looks out of place now to me.

fuct 03-01-2010 09:44 AM

looks great! and great price!

ltp 03-01-2010 09:55 AM

Love it - nice clean aggressive look.
I would remove the "370 Z" emblem too.

dainedazz 03-01-2010 11:16 AM

I like ;)

FuszNissan 03-01-2010 11:18 AM

Looks great!

fairladyZ34 03-01-2010 01:01 PM

For now....Hopefully you won't get any crackage in the future. My body guys weren't much interested in doing this for that reason..

waaaasabi 03-01-2010 01:37 PM

Whoa! Very nice. I wonder how a MB would look de-badged with blacked out headlight housings...

simota1 03-01-2010 04:12 PM

i neeeda do this seriously lol  looks badass bro!!!

My body guy guaranteed it, for life. It's not Bondo or fiberglass. It's a specialized material for repairing plastic body parts. Works for me....

I really thought about it hard. I opted to leave the 370Z letters on there, for now. THey are easy to remove in the future if i want to change it.

3SeventyZ 03-01-2010 10:00 PM

looks good i like it

I love the way that looks! I think I'm going to do it as well, do you have the "z" badge on front also?

Yes I do. I putting an order in for the CF B-pillars as well.

Jesse_Hunter 05-17-2010 04:46 PM

Nice. The carbon fiber trim looks way better than the silver on the badge. My car is black so I think it should turn out pretty good.

Fly1 Motorsports 05-17-2010 05:50 PM

OP - looks great! Way to turn a "negative" into a "positive"

My vote is to debadge completely...

Looks great! Now, get rid of the side flashers/emblems and it would look totally clean.

mattjk 05-18-2010 02:21 AM

I don't know if I like the front, it makes it look more slopy like the nismo, but man, the rear looks amazing! Super clean looking... Take the 370z off!

I'm gonna agree with this, although unique, it just sticks out now because its silver with no other silver to offset it. Perhaps painting them a glossy black or something might help them blend in more while still standing out??

I like it for the front, but I think I'd keep the rear one personally... Excellent job on it and that is a sweet deal for the price!
