JP Vizage Front Lip Installed
Thanks to Mike at Vivid Racing I was lucky enough to get my hands on the very first JP front lip spoiler for the 370Z to arrive in the U.S. I have had it for two weeks now waiting for it to get painted. I finally picked it up yesterday from the paint shop. This morning Modshack and I installed it.
I personally think that it is a subtle addition to the car and it makes the front end look much better. I also like the way it slopes up on the bottom in the middle like the stock Sport Package underneath spoiler does. And no it doesn't impact the Sport Package lower spoiler. I also think painted it looks a lot less bulky on the sides than it does in the unpainted pictures I've seen. Here are some pictures. The lip prior to install. http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u...e/100_7731.jpg http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u...e/100_7721.jpg The lip held on by tape prior to us screwing it on. http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u...e/100_7736.jpg Screws under the bottom of the lip. http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u...e/100_7741.jpg Some fully installed shots. http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u...e/100_7745.jpg http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u...e/100_7746.jpg http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u...e/100_7743.jpg http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u...e/100_7758.jpg http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u...e/100_7759.jpg http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u...e/100_7756.jpg |

Looks pretty good. Your car is screaming for a drop sir!
:iagree:
Well done! looks nice! Hope nobody thinks it is a "step" to see into the engine bay.... :rofl2:
^^^^ lol i agree. nice looking lip.

Nice! I'd like to see this in CF. Plus, you and I have the same dilemma with the tires and gap.
Looks like the fitment was good!
I agree, the Z needs a drop. The OEM spoiler on the bottom looks out of place, no? |
Looks good
Looks good!
+1 on the drop :) |
I think that looks really good! Nice.
I'd say that's a nice lip ! Seems like a good job matching the paint, too. I wouldn't call it TOO subtle. I'd say it "shouts" just a little bit. ;)
yah, drop it and give the front a tad more camber to tuck that tire in.
eibach's drop the car just enough and keep the ride very much like stock.. but if you can swing coilovers you can always adjust it to the median of looks/funtion.
Thanks for all the compliments! I'm very happy with the look.

The spoiler is made not to impact the OEM lower spoiler. That's one reason I like it. It curves up in the middle on each side right where the OEM spoiler begins. |
looks good.. i'm thinking this may go well with a set of s-tune sides. PS anyone?

Unfortunately I probably need to wait a while before purchasing a set. I have been spending way too much lately on the Z. :icon17: |
DAmn you got yours installed before mine fricken winter storage. oh well i've got the original design with the full 7 piece kit
You purchased the JNEXT kit from Lou didn't you? Although the front lips are similar that is a different set up as I understand it. As I recall the your lip slops forward more and comes to more of a point on the sides.
BTW I can't wait to see your kit installed. |
looks great! How much did it run to get it painted?
Looks good!

jnext is jpvizage i have the little plate to mount on the thing (which i'm not) and actually i didnt see the name jnext on it anywhere. came a big jpvizage box as well.
Yes I understand they are made by the same company. The front lips are different though. The JNEXT one that you have is part of an entire body kit and the JP lip that I have is only that, a front lip. The one you have will be a lot more rare since as I understand it is not being imported to the U.S.
from your pics i'll tell you it looks almost the same except mine fully covers the fangs so there is no seam and it may come down a little lower. It is almost the same lip, i just love the way these lips look. they are soo subtle in comparison to all the other kits out there.
I would love to see some pictures of your front lip. I really like the way it looks in the pictures Lou posted. I just didn't want the entire kit. I prefer one piece side skirts. Otherwise I might have purchased the kit from him. I actually talked to him about it back before you purchased it, but decided to go another route.
does jp vizage have a rear valence for the rear bumper? i really want this lip kit but im gonna use s tune sides and idk for the rear?
If JP has a rear piece I haven't seen it. I think I am going to use the Nismo S-Tune side sills too. The more I look at them the better I like them. Plus now that I have added the EVO-R diffuser I'm happy with the OEM rear fascia.
I think that would look amazing w/a nismo bumper :)
the nismo rear bumper is also beautiful... its a real shame there is no fog lamp though... i really like the fog lamp...
I agree. It would look good with the Nismo S-Tune sides and the Nismo rear bumper.
Zpirate.. Just a quick question.. Does this hang down much lower than the front bumper is now? from the center it doesn't look like it does, being that the sport package front spoiler is still exposed, but what about like on the sides?
No it doesn't hang down below the bumper even on the sides. The bottom is pretty much flush with the bottom of the bumper.
