is there a way to fix a pibble crack in the windsheild at home or should it just be done at a garage? if so how much would this cost ?

Windshield Repair and Auto Glass Replacement - Safelite AutoGlass

They're one of the bigger companies that offer this service. A lot of insurance companies will cover it with no deductible or increase also. Give them and your insurance a call.

Some states actually have a $0 deductible law for Windshield Replacement or repair. Your premium also will not go up because of it. Other than that, like vipor said, depends on your insurance company.

Here is a full breakdown of each states laws for Windshield repair/replacement.

There are $10 kits that do a pretty good job depending on the damage.

If you wait too long it will crack. Mine did this weekend.

No point in trying to repair it, it will turn into a crack real soon, and then that crack will slowly but surely go through your entire windshield.

I JUST had my fathers Honda Odyssey's windshield replaced by Safelite Autoglass this morning, 0 deductible, and no raise on the policy from Liberty Mutual.

I've owned 20 cars in my life without so much as a chip...and I am now about to install my 3rd windsheild in my 370Z! Can't believe how this car attracts rocks.

as soon as a chip occurs, you must get it repaired asap! it is easier for the tech to repair something tht has just happened, rather than waiting.
