Rear center-low brake light
 

I had a question regarding the rear center-low brake light; my search success wasn't all that great so forgive me if this has been rehashed ad nauseum.

Does that particular light come fully functioning from the factory or does it require any aftermarket or post-purchase hardware/wiring?

Just wondering. It's only me so it's somewhat difficult to tell if the light is functioning.
