Yeah, I'm very tempted to just do it myself. The only thing I'm concerned about are the front splash guards. I'm not really sure how to remove them, that's why I was wondering whether I can just remove the skirts without taking off the guards.

The front splashguards are easy to remove. Remove 2 screws on the front and I think one bolt on the bottom.
