Did you order the vinyl from us?
![]() We normally apply the vinyl first, then use an xacto knife to trim to the holes. This isn't the case 100% of the time, but it's close ![]()

yah, did my G's rear valance last night and it turned out great. around the exhaust cut out, rear plate holder area, etc. i just heated it pretty well until the film was flimsy and just wrapped it over and cut the excess. i was kinda amazed how well the thing stretches. so for those that want to remove the trim off your car to wrap, it would be a lot easier imho than making templates to exact dimensions and such like how i did it.
![]() i want to do the Z's black plastic in front of the radiator next, but the 3M does not stick well to textured surfaces. i should try adhesion promoter... btw, after doing the G's valance i decided to remove it ![]() so the CF will stay off my G and on my Z. ![]() |

I wonder how well the film will hold up to the engine bay temps? It can get up to 200*F or so in there.

hope it doesn't evaporate!
![]() considering there are small wires and stuff insulated with vinyl that are in the engine bay i think we'll be fine especially when the plastic is forward of the engine. i only measure about 185F at the towers so it doesn't get nearly that hot for me. |

Hey Kenchan, I got the steering wheel volume area perfect, the heat really is the key. I just cut my template in carbon, put it on, heated it, pressed it into any indents, then cut the excess trim (I was careful)

I tried making a template, but figured it would be easier & I want it done right. So I'm going to tackle the project of taking the Nav out & doing the area around the Nav in Carbon.

Hey, I just finished doing the head unit area in carbon fiber and I'll tell ya it def was a pain in the a$$ project, lol I have the metra faceplace kit, so I had to take everything apart. Plus the 3 circles for the air conditioner was extra tricky cus it's raised up and not flat.
