after i wrap the gauge hats i think im going to make those triangles for the door latch area. i doubt i can wrap the entire piece without removing it. im too lazy to remove parts from my car right now unless it's easy. dont want to bother with potential rattles down the road.

here's some ideas for you guys to try with your cutting and pasting skillz...

that is soo badass, looks like I have a new project to work on, lol So all you do is cut the shape, stick it on, add some heat, apply it like tint and thats it?

it's a real CF trim overlay CarID.net or CarID.com sells. i have one coming to me but do not plan on using all the bits. if the NiDoc sheets were glossy i would've just made my own but oh well.

yah, cut the outlines as close as you can, stick it on, heat it up and press it down and it will contour to the curves and lines. once you get the hang of it, it's pretty easy. unlike tint though, i dont use soapy solution for these.

pretty sure those gauge hats are the same size, but there are 3 different part numbers to them... probably due to mounting tab locations or something... dang. do those things just pop out? (Just pull?)

So those are real carbon fiber pieces?, but do they stick on top of the old pieces or do they replace the part all together?

The ones that CarID sells is real carbon fiber but overlays like the B-Pillar overlays. I'm not the biggest fan of overlays but since the Z's door trim (switch control trim) is recessed I can get away with these overlays. Also for the stereo trim since I don't want to uninstall my HU again I'm going to use that HU piece as well. The other bits I probably won't use.

see later post where the clips are (the pict with the broken posts)...

I dont use the 3M stuff but I have my own vinyl that is very similar to 3M but I apply my own adhesive. Some of what I have done.. This was the 19th IS250/350 I have done.
