Window tint on 370z roadster

Getting my windows today, and they won't do the back window due to the glass divider.:shakes head:

Has anyone had tint done on a roadster yet ?

I didn't even think of that...

I'm going to have them go ahead do the doors for now. They recommended taking it to the dealer to see if they can take the glass out for tint.

It's probably going to look kinda funny with just the sides tinted.

Yea, I think it will look funny...keep us posted and share some pics...what % tint did you get?

I got 35% 3M high performance, it's actually not that bad. The tint doesn't look very dark though. The shop put a big sticker under the tint on the drivers side that I'm not to happy with. I Will try to post pics later.

That is actually required by Texas state law now, they changed the law in late 2009 with tint. If you have no identifier on your window it is a guarantee ticket no questions, even if the tint is within legal limits.

Did they remedy the rear window tint dilemna? Any pics yet of tint?

I got all my windows tinted. The back was a little difficult, but the installer did it. He had to measure it then slide it over the glass plate. It took him a couple of tried but he did it. I got FormulaOne 15% all around.

tint solution

i did my own window tint, and for the back glass i open the roof half way, than i remove the the edge rubber gasket, after that u can remove the bottom part of the window without a problem , after u do that u can tint the back window allot easier than the side windows.

Never thought of tinting the back window. Have enough problems seeing out as it is. I'm sure it looks good though, have a pic?
