Famous Nissan Front Seat Click Problem

The Altima coupe is beset with a funny problem. When the car goes around a curve and the the driver's weight is shifted from one side to the other in the seat, a click is often heard under the seat. This has nothing to do with backward/forward adjustment or any other and my understanding is that there may be a TSB on it. It is often discussed in complaints posted on the Altima Coupe message boards. My Z has only 550 miles on it. Weather was nice here today, so I took her out for her first "spirited ride" of the break-in process. Sure enough, as I rounded a curve to the right, the click sounded. It happened twice this evening. It's no big deal and I'll probably just ignore it, as I have on the Altima. But I'm wondering if it has yet appeared in any other 370Z's.

The 350z has a similar problem and so does the 370z. Since I'm familiar with the issue I don't let it ruin my enjoyment of the z. There may be a fix now or later.

NOPE, have not heard that in my old 350 nor my 370. I also had a 99 Altima.

Sometimes your mind set for a noise or any other annoying thing makes you feel it or hear it even if it doesn't exist, dunno...

i have that problem on my 370, and yes, there is a TSB out for it

I've got it on my seats. CLOTH, not leather. Mostly on the right side, near the middle-back.

Yes, this was discussed a lot around April or May I believe. Mine does it as well, but only intermittenly. I think it is the track that attaches to the seat bottom, moving/clicking against the rail that is attached to the floor. I usually notice it from driving that causes my weight to shift as well.

My touring seats creak when I get in and out, but I don't notice it while driving, mostly coming from the bottom seat cushion on the side. Anyone else have this?

Mine clicked around 500 miles for awhile and then magically went away. I hope I just didnt jinx myself, b/c it was annoying.

never heard it but I weigh bout 155 on a day with lotsa oreos and 2 tall glasses of milk. Its not a safety issue is it? I remember on clubrsx forums the replica recaros were doing something similar and in a bad vehicle accident, well most of the drivers aren't around to tell the story.
