Door locks going crazy :(
sooooooo let me explain wat i mean.... so i went out with my gf and i opened the door for her... lol ya ya mushy stuff anyways... i used the small button to unlock her door... not the fob key.... now after that i went to my door and did the same.... i unlocked my door with the small button on my side... and i NEVER do this... i always used my alarm to unlock it from far and stuff.... now the weird thing is that.... my car kept LOCKING its doors multiple times while i was driving... like... lock... then lock... then lock lock... it just kept clicking trying to lock itself over and over... i was jus freaking out... so i parked did the same thing i did pressed the small buttons on the handles outside thinking and hoping it would stop doing the locking freak out but it still does it.... BUT now my door wont lock automatically when i drive... but they unlock when i turn off the car... thats the only thing that didnt act weird with the locking mechanism.... any ideas.? i dont wanna have to take it to the dealer.... :shakes head: lol

It is your cars way of telling you to stop being a lil bitch and opening the door for your girlfriend
Now take it to the dealer...:stirthepot: - Ty |

in the manual it tells you how to activate and deactivate the auto door locks. Try deactivating them for a day and see if that helps then reactivate them the next day... just some food for thought to try...

nice bro!!! ^^^ i didnt know that ill try it out....

The little button on the door might be shorting itself out while your driving from the vibration. I use mine everytime and I've never had a problem.

^^^ that sucks if thats the problem...

The Z, being a technical japanese monster that it is, you prob just need to reset the computer. First try unplugging the batter, replugging it and seeing if that helps, if not read the manual. I remember when i installed my cai, i had disconected the battery, then when the cai installation was all said and done and i was happy, I realized my automatic up and down windows wouldnt work, so I could not leave my z without the window being cracked open (cause if you notice when you open your door it pops the window down a crack to clear the door to be opened, and when you close back the door the window automatically goes up a crack again, mine wasnt going back up) After 2 min of scanning the manual, I found out how to "reset" the window computer, and vwalah, all good!
Hope this is all you have to do to fix it! +1 on not opening the door for your gf, maybe on a day like valentines day, otherwise :nutswinger: |
Try taking your keys out of your pocket. I noticed that sometimes I lock the doors on accident because my key fob presses against my house key.
