GTR Gauges Fall 2024 Update:
The (world's!) first local beta test of the GTR gauges has started. This is in a 2011 G37X with Tech package (sonar based cruise control and other options). The reason I mentioned the Tech package, is that the CAN bus is much, much busier/active with the additional modules. This makes it a better/more difficult test to pass. I've been running/testing the GTR gauges in my G37 for just over 2 years and all has been good. No weird issues or dash lights. Below is a pic of the test bench. This is used to verify bug fixes or to validate any new features that are added. The 370 gauge cluster CAN bus messages are the same as the G37. On the test bench, I played back multiple 370 CAN logs and the gauges worked as expected. Nice! Test Bench: Interior pic of the GTR gauges on the first beta tester: NOTE: Changing units is a easy as pressing the settings button, and select US or metric. Once the GTR gauges have proven to work well on the G37, I'd like to start testing on the 370. One of the best features of the "GTR MFD Converter" module is the optional Bluetooth engine oil pressure! It connects to any aftermarket 150 PSI sensor that uses the standard 3 pin "Packard" connector. (I think that's all of them!) It provides +5v, ground and reads the sensor about 100 times per second. Then it sends the data to the "GTR MFD Converter" module using Bluetooth and displays it in the GTR gauges. The Bluetooth connection is automatic and faster then the time it takes for the nav unit to start up. It is so nice to have engine coolant temp, engine oil temp and engine oil pressure on the same screen. It give great peace of mind about those oil gallery gaskets. Note: The bottom right gauge that says "Trans Oil Pressure" has been repurposed to display diff oil temp. The hottest I've seen the diff oil is around 100C/212F during a long highway drive in the hot summer. I'm sure it gets much hotter on a road coarse. I'm starting to look for 370 beta testers for early next year. If you are located in the Mississauga, Brampton, Burlington, Milton area and have a 2010 - 2017 370 with navigation, please PM me. Thanks! |

Funny that you mentioned this... I've just spent 2 hours going over the DeltaABS, documentation, CAN bus definition files and installed/checked out their ABS configuration program.
From what I saw, I should be able to get the speedometer and warning lights to work on a 370 with their ABS module. I've sent them an email and asking for a CAN log file from the ABS module. From that, I can develop and test a small CAN Gateway that does the translation, then test at the track! |

DeltaABS (US office) got back to me. They don't have a CAN bus log and their race car is an hour away.
I've explained to them that I'm fine waiting days, weeks or even a few months for them to get a CAN log and send it to me. I also sent an email to the UK office. (scs-delta.co.uk) Once I have that log, I can verify (and demonstrate on video) a working speedometer and warnings lights on the gauge cluster. The module can be developed using their documentation (DBC file), so I don't need it, but sure would like it to verify it on my test bench where it is easy to update code for any bug fixes or feature updates. Future updates will be in this thread: Ice mode solution? Last edited by MotorvateDIY; 11-05-2024 at 09:06 AM. |

Update video. They're Done!
Once there is more progress on the G37 beta testing, I'll be looking for local (Toronto) 370 folks to test/verify on the 2010 - 2017 370 with navigation. From the data I have, they should work with out any issues. https://youtu.be/3znFZHgNJtE |
