Default Fuel Gauge Sensor

i tried a search, but i keep finding threads for the opposite of what i'm trying to accomplish.

does anyone know of an easy way to disable the fuel gauge so that it reads empty?

the reason: i wasn't planning on it, but i'm entering an indoor car show tomorrow and they have the rule of 1/4 tank or less for each car. the problem is i still have at least 3/4 tank of gas, and i don't really want to just drive around and burn it off. i know there are cars where you can just unplug a wire or a fuse and this is possible, can the same be done for the 370Z? if so, how?

secondly, i don't want to "harm" anything on the car.

i thought i'd ask you all, if not i'll just siphon out the fuel or just drive around til it meets the requirements.

i dont know about that but you can probably siphon it out. i think new cars have a filter to prevent that but i've heard they have pumps that can get the gas out safely. store it, then put it back in the car when you're done. good luck.
