Water enters your engine bay through the front bumper anyways so it shouldn’t be an issue with a vented hood. Unless you plan on scuba diving with your Z it should be fine.

I’ve driven through rain with a vented hood, no undershroud, and no fender liners and my Z is still doing fine.

Water doesn't enter my engine bay through my bumper. I like to keep my engine bay clean and have seen pictures of some nasty looking engine bays from guys that are running vented hoods with no rain guards
