Any updates on when they will be out.

Got my tracking# today. Excited!

Receiving and installing tomorrow. Pretty excited to gray out the back to blend better with the gunmetal paint color.

OP, I also ordered mine from NextLevel. NextLevel sent me an email Wednesday with a shipping note to my order. It was being shipped from GA and it is being delivered today.

I get mine on Monday from GA. Let me know what you think of them.

They look great with the darker paint shades. I've never been one for tinted lenses on lighter color cars. Looking forward to other examples to see if my mind can be changed!

Edit: My post wasn't very clear. I understand that these lenses aren't tinted, but the black bezels give it that appearance. Sorry for any confuzion!

I'm absolutely in love with these on my Black Cherry.

Looks fine on lighter shades when not going jet black, otherwise just looks like a black hole.
I had mine professionally painted and the red can still be seen, it's just toned down. Mine is the same color as the site banner car.

Morimoto's are on. I think they look great.

Love the look of these can't wait to get mine. ConceptZ just shipped mine yesterday should be here Thursday. I think they will look great on my silver Z. I hope they don't have issues like their headlights do. I never got the headlights because of the issues and I think the newer blacked out stock ones look better IMHO.

I noticed a little bit of a fitment issue with the tails. Not major though. Nothing a dremel couldn't fix. I had to elongate the mounting holes a bit for adjustment. To be expected with anything aftermarket.

With mine the lower part of the boomerang protrudes a bit.

Was that your issue as well? If yes, you just made the 10mm bolt hole bigger so you could push the tail assembly in more?

Yes, precisely. The sharp "point" stuck out a bit. I could see microfiber cloths and whatnot catching on it while detailing....had to fix it before it became a bigger broken issue.

Anyone happen to know the specs (or have FSM image) of the interior bolt holding the threads from the back of the assembly? One of mine was missing for some reason.

What sort of dremel head did you use to do this? I was looking at mine and I don't think I have something that would deepend a metal hole...

It was an 1/8" carbide burr

Got my Morimoto lights in the mail today. Hopefully I can get them installed this weekend.

Anyone with some color get the tails? Curious to see it on a red.

I find these Morimoto lights are more of a benefit for people with earlier Z's who have the old style headlamps and tail lamps.

2018+ Zs already come with darkened taillights.

I just upgraded my reverse bulbs, all the turn signals and every other incandescent bulb on the car to LED and called it a day. Now it looks modern and still OEM fit and finish.

The turn signal bulbs I have are 2000 lumens, basically as bright as a headlight and brighter than anything in the Morimoto.

Got mine installed they look amazing!

I had my '10 taillights lightly sprayed and cleared so there's some red hue still showing for $100. The clear reverse panel was only cleared. Looks much better IMO than the Morimoto as I think they failed on the line that only lights upon braking and I don't like the horizontal bottom element.

I also have the brighter reverse LED's and similar lumen signals so the dopes on phone piss their panties when I indicate I'M COMING OVER NOW!!!!!!! :driving:

Having some issues with the boomerang tip. Looks to be poking out quite a bit.

Which hole did you have to dremel? Do you have any pictures for reference?\

Has anyone attempted to splice their 4th brake light and a rear view camera to their Morimoto tail lights??
I had to disconnect both of mine from the factory tails, but didn't want to cut my Morimoto wires for warranty purposes. If anyone has please lmk what wires colors are what for the Morimoto tail lights

Use the harness that is in your trunk. That’s where you should be tapping wires.

Side note, how is the quality with the later batches? I wouldn’t mind getting a set.

I just picked up a set the other week and will be installing them this weekend. I'll try to take some up close pics for you.
