Hey sorry everything that is order able on the website is currently available so no worries.

Your B pillars in honeycomb are pretty much complete. They are just in line to be final clearcoated. Should be done by the end of the week and shipped out next week.

Damn near two months later, have they said anything? Sounds like a hot sweaty load of EW.

https://www.z1motorsports.com/door-s...rs-p-4210.html

someone on here 3d printed a replacement mounting tab and post which can be epoxied to your b-pillar to repair it.

That helps, thanks. I could possibly fix the one side with the 3-printed mount, but the other side the panel actually broke. So I buy one and repair the other, cost ~$150 or so with new clips and such. And have panels still at risk of scratching and possibly breaking if they need removal in the future (hopefully unlikely).

Or spend ~$400 for a more durable carbon fiber pair. Hmmm...

Decisions, decisions.

Thanks for the help.

I had thought Seibon only had covers, nice find.

So i removed my b pillars the other day and broke one of the slotted tabs.

Basically because i was impatient and didn't look hard enough.

What you should be doing is putting a long handle slotted pry tool all the way under the b pillar and popping out the retaining pins (iirc they are white plastic) You're not actually supposed to apply any stress on the b pillar finisher when removing it. Assuming after breaking a single b pillar we both learn our lesson. There shouldn't be any issue with removing the oem b pillar in the future. You might grease the white pins for even easier removal when you reinstall them.

TLDR: the oem b pillar doesnt' need to be sturdy if you remove it properly.

Yeah I didn't break either, but point taken. One broke on its own, the other was broken by a windshield repair guy.

Just thinking, if the broken OEM B-pillar finisher can be "fixed", I mean... pieces removed,
glued back together and surface sanded flat, I'd think using an adhesive such as SealAll
to attach back to the car is possible. Forget about the clips etc.
Then ,use a carbon overlay to finish the surface. As mentioned, ZCF sells great ones on
Ebay for $95 a set. I have them. Put e'm on 3 years ago. Look like new.
Of course, I cannot see the car's B-pillar damage. But, if they can be repaired, sure is the cheapest way to go and gives the car a update look too.

G2 Carbon got back to my inquiry in a couple of days and told me this:

"$350 plus shipping and about 2-4 weeks"

I'm thinking this is my best bet, unless I want to go with crappy stock ones that will probably break again - I'm planning on keeping this car for many more years.

Best solution when reinstalling B pillars is to use 3M double side tape. First i broke the clips, then tried to glue some similar clip to it. Succeeded and then the clips wasn't fitting perfectly, (I should of left it at that but instead) I tried forcing it and broke the damn b pillar. At the end of the day I used 3M tape and it's holding fine. Before that i used regular tape and held like a champ when i did 210kph. So I'm sure this will work.
