Reusable cabin filter?

Does anyone happen to know if any of the k&n reusable cabin filters are compatible (will fit) from any other cars in the Nissan lineup? Altima, maxima, murano, etc

I know it's not a big deal replacing it but it gets tiresome after a while knowing I need to remove six screws just to get to it and drop the whole globe box down

Compatibility aside, I think “Reusable” still means removing and cleaning, don’t think that’ll save you the hassle of opening that section up.

The job isn’t rocket science but I feel it’s a little pita too lol.

I have one on my mazda from k&n and it's an investment where I don't have to purchase a new one everytime. Was hoping to save $ in the long run.

$8-$15 for throwaway on amazon or ebay. Why spend the time cleaning a reusable?

K&N air filter unfortunately doesn’t make a cabin air filter for the 370Z model. I doubt you will save any coin in the long run seeing you will have to clean and oil it at least once per year. Change your cabin air filter on time. In my first Z I found a rat inside my cabin air filter/housing because the previous owner neglected to change the cabin air on time. I always change my cabin air filter once per year with a Genuine Nissan cabin air filter. I believe the Genuine Nissan cabin air filter part number is still B7277-1EA0B.

You can get dry filters that don't require oiling; although same issue of none being available for the Z.

Considering I have to replace my filter about every 6 months in my daily driver, a reusable cabin filter would save a good chunk of change. One-time use filters cost $18-35 depending on the filter. After 1-2 years it's more than paid for itself.

I've purchased $5-10 filters before, and all I'll say is you get what you pay for. I can get a better deal on the quality ones if I purchase in bulk. But I don't bother. And sometimes that extra cost is simply the cost of convenience.

Also, I'll never give money to Amazon again if I can help it.

What was your negative experience with the $5-$10 filters? I change them yearly regardless of mileage which is typically low and don't see an issue.

Exactly. Someone gets it as to why a reusable one would be useful.

Apparently K&N can make custom filters.

I might have to inquire if they can make one is similar dimensions to the OEM cabin filter.

Just get yourself the OEM cabin filter. They won't break your wallet since you only need to replace them once a year or every 12,000 miles. If you're worried about money then you should be riding a bike or walking.
