Where is the Turn signal fuse?
Problem:
-Turn signals dont work -Turn signal "stick" doesnt go back into position automatically -No "click-click" sound when putting turn signal out -Light on dash doesnt go on The hazard light button + turn signals function perfectly so bulbs are fine. Background: - Car was found with dead battery (2.3v) whilst at paintshop - Battery Booster used for 30m, no significant improvememt - Battery replaced with a new unit The headlights low beam also didnt work, i found 2 blown 15a fuses in the big fusebox near the battery and replaced them. I also had a lot of DTC codes on the BCM, erased them and they didnt come back yet. Does anyone know where the turn signal fuse is located? Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk |
Sounds like they over volted the old battery while charging in car, resulting in some failed fuses,etc...
Look at fuse block under hood, near battery at fender well,..a manual will show you what’s in there & location; also it’s printed on the inside of cover :tiphat: |
Yeah i think so too. But so far cant find a fuse for turn signals in the FSM nor the fusebox next to the driver side footwell nor battery.

I see you have a 2010, may want to disable the steering lock while you’re in that fuse block....with ignition in on position, pull steering lock fuse & it will stay put.
That is, unless you’ve already corrected the problem. |

I see, :icon14:
Unsure if there’s a third one...unless your multifunction switch is failing :ugh2: |
Hopefully not a failed bcm

I just read that low beam fuse and turn signals are combined in one. Now trying to find the relay, maybe that failed..

Switched out the relay, works fine.
Im afraid its the BCM. Any ways to diagnose a faulty BCM? I have no codes reading DTC's with ecutek Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk |
Dealership confirmed its the BCM. $1.200 repair bill. Paint shop confessed guilty by mis-using the battery booster.
Thanks for the suggestions in this thread and be careful when using a booster! Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk |

I actually dont know. Maybe they set it to 24v, or switched polarities.

I can almost bet money that the booster was hooked up in reverse and fried some electronic control modules.

They fried the BCM indeed. And paid for replacing it.
Now, after replacing the BCM my trunk wont open anymore. So ill go back on friday. I hope its a easy fix and they forgot to code something in the bcm. Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk |
