Cheap interior mod which makes a big improvement- GT-R clear dome light lenses
 

Of all the mods I have done, one of the cheapest made a big improvement to the interior. The GT-R dome light lenses are clear instead of diffused like the Z has. They are exactly the same size and a perfect fit. Makes a big difference and looks SO much better! Z1 has them for $45 and they can be found at other vendors as well.

Been there, done that.

I got the entire GTR dome light assembly on eBay for $25.00.

I figured many have already done this, but could not find anything in a search.

Probably because this forum's search engine can be iffy. I think theoretically people may have known this from 2009 as both cars existed since then.

Maybe the real weird thing is why Nissan did this in the first place. It's cheaper to share parts, unless the foggy clear version in the Z was sourced from a cheaper model already. But still. 11 years and they couldn't be bothered to update to something as simple as this.

Heard it's no brighter than OE, which would be my only reason to install em.
