Indicator Lights Refuse To Turn Off

1 Attachment(s)
Hey Guys!

Every time I start my car, the information display is showing me oil filter and engine oil reminders. I keep setting to a much higher or resetting it but they keep showing up. 20 days later the "other" one starting to show as well. The only way to get rid of it is to press the exit button, but shows up the next time I start the car. I'm getting frustrated at this point because as you can see in the pic my "other" and "oil filter" is reset to zero. I've even turned on then off ALL of the reminders. Has anyone experienced this and resolved it?

Have you tried resetting it through the actual gauge controls instead of using the touch screen?

As Zealot said, there are separate controls in the information center (just like setting the clock on the nav display doesn't set the dash clock. Arrrggghhh.)
Either keep pushing the next button until you get to settings and drill down, or check the User's Manual for specific steps.
Since the touch screen is only on the Tech's, the other system is there for all the rest of the models.
Be glad it's not a BMW, and you don't have to short pin 9 to reset your oil change reminder...

The screen with the warning light... you have to reset the counters in that screen, not the nav screen :twocents:

This is what I meant by pressing the exit button a.k.a. the gauge button. Why on the gauge it says press square to exit.

It's in the owner's manual, starting on page 2-26. There is a whole settings sub-menu system to manage various alerts and such on the Vehicle Information Display.

Perhaps I didn't mention that but I thought it's because it would be obvious.
- I did click Exit (you can't click exit in navigation display anyways)
- I read the manua last week just in case I was missing something. No there isn't anything specific to reoccurring reminders that don't want to turn off. The manual says to press exit to get rid of it.
- I turned all reminders off.
- I reset all reminders.
- I increase the mileage when it should remind me.

NONE OF IT WORKS!!! I think I'm gonna start pulling my hair :shakes head:

The pictures you uploaded in your original post show you using the nav touch screen to set those options, as many people have already tried to tell you.... use the controls built into the actual gauge to reset your reminders

On my Murano the maintenance reminders have to be turned off on both the Nav screen and on the rectangular display to the side of the instruments. Resetting the data on either of them is not enough. Both displays each have to manipulated...

The interface doesn't make it real easy. I had to try a few times before I got the hang of it. Once you figure it out, the next time is pretty easy.
