Why Am I Doing This
So I have this terrible but amazing idea. Ducktails and Wings are cool and all but what if you could have an active spoiler on the Z? I’m planning to install a 2012 Lexus LF active spoiler mechanism and then modifying it to fit the Z. This is probably never going to work but I’m just wondering what everyone else thinks about my idea.

Aeromotions makes an active wing for 370z

Depends on your skill set. You'll need mechanical skills to mount the wing and associated actuators. Wiring everything up might be tricky, especially if you don't have wiring diagrams and/or a harness to work with. You'll need to figure out how to get the vehicle's speed into the wing controller.
Interesting project. Please keep us updated. |
This would be interesting

So here’s a better way to explain what I’m talking about...
So this is what I’m trying to do but instead of a $375k Lexus, a $40k Nissan |
I think it's a cool concept. Other than track use, not sure of its practicality/functionality for normal street use.

It's not only found on expensive cars. The Crossfire had it years ago.
Good luck with your project. Definitely a unique idea  |
So as of right now I’m looking into purchasing this
http://japan.toylexparts.com/lexus/4...3/7601/760776a I haven’t been able to find the measurements of this assembly but if I do and it fits I’ll buy it and if not then I’ll either look for another one or try and find my own |
if it works, congrats..
but if it doesn't, then time to shop for a new hatch. LOL |
go for it, if only because I want to watch the build log. :drama:
